Lake Michigan Family Photographer || The Weikarts & Family

It was a complete blessing for the Weikarts to invite me to capture their summer vacation on the shores of Lake Michigan. The area is the setting of an all American summer, like are embodied in film and books. Surprisingly, this beach was not overcrowded the day of their session, it was so perfect for their session. The sand was perfectly soft, the lighthouse towered over the beach and the sound of the lake was so peaceful. I can see why this family wanted photos captured here. Just down the road from this lighthouse are the famous Michigan sand dunes and many small ice cream shops. It’s an amazing vacation spot I would have never known about. I’m so grateful when my clients invite me to capture their travels. I get to see the secret and beautiful spots on this Earth that my clients love simply because they would like me to capture their memories of their favorite places. We know nothin on this Earth lasts forever, everything changes. In 10 years, this area will look different. It’s inevitable. But now this family owns something so special. A frozen piece of a summer they will always remember.
